It is located 220 km south of Semey on the Semey - Kainar highway in the Shyngystau mountains (Abai district, East Kazakhstan region).

Natural monument of Cretaceous origin. The cave ("Konyr Aulie ungiri") is known to everyone who, desperate to extend his family, decided to ask for this mysterious force, lurking in the dark twilight of the cave Konyr aulie. Local residents say that the ancestors of the Kazakhs healed their wounds here in between fights, when the truce was declared. The cave is famous for its rich history and legends. It is believed that the water in the cave is healing, gives strength to people, conceals many mysteries and gives a new life to everyone who bathed in it. In 1912 the cave was examined by the staff of the Semipalatinsk subdivision of the Russian Geographical Society. M. Auezov wrote about this cave in his novel "Abai's Way" too.

The entrance to the cave is a crevice. The entrance height is just over 2 m. There is a stone sculpture 10 m away from the entrance. "Kalmyk" is the name given to this figure by locals. Then there is a small underground lake. To the right of the entrance is the main cave. It stretches for 115-120 m, width from 10 to 40 m. To the mysterious lake you have to walk almost 150 m under stone blocks. The approximate size of the cave reservoir is 8-17×12-15 m, its depth is up to 5 m. The water is crystal clear, but with a taste of lime. Water temperature is +4°C.
