Excavations near the village of Rubezhka
The expedition of the Ural Pedagogical Institute conducted excavations near village of Rubezhka, Priuralny district, Ural region. Two burials on the dunes were discovered and the approximate dimensions of the mound destroyed by the construction (diameter 22 m, height 0.8 m) were restored, where two more burials of the Bronze Age were discovered. Burial pits were not traced. The burials were made at a depth of 0.7–0.8 m. In burial 2, the deceased lay on his left side crouched, with his head to the northwest. Two vessels were found in the heads. In total, four vessels were found in four burials. These are molded gray pots with a straight neck, rounded shoulders and a cone-shaped body. An ornament in the form of a horizontal herringbone shaded isosceles triangles, parallel lines is applied on the shoulders. The vessel from the dune burial 2 is stucco, with an admixture of crushed shell and with a ledge at the transition of the rim to the body. The ornament consists of hatched isosceles triangles located on the sides of a line drawn along the circumference of the shoulders with a finely serrated stamp, like the lines on the neck.
