Research of the Golden Horde settlement Laeti
Excavations continued at the Golden Horde handicraft settlement in the Ak-tobe tract near the Guryev. The settlement is identified with Laeti settlement. The manor was excavated on its southeastern outskirts. In the excavation (about 400 sq. m.), 12 premises were traced, which, according to the nature of the finds and the layout, are divided into residential and utility rooms.
Sufas heated by kans were found in living quarters. Accumulations of red-clay vessels, khums, bins were found in the utility rooms, and in some - hearths. Clay fired and unfired (blanks) sinkers for nets, fish bones were found. In one of the rooms, items and blanks made of bone were found. Collected silver and copper coins. The handle of a ceramic vessel with a tamga similar to one of the tamgas of the Selitrennoye settlement is interesting.
