Senkibay Batyr Orazgululy (1709-1786) was one of the most famous Kazakh Batyrs of Saryarka, who took part in battles with dzungars in the Alakol, Bulanty and Anyrakai natural areas. Senkibai with his soldiers was a member of the Kanzhygaly Bogenbay Batyr militia. Karashorda - Senkibay). Here Karashor is a clan group, which is connected with the origin of Senkibay Batyr.
According to legends, Senkibay was born in the family of Batyr Orazgul, son of Bekbas (now Karkaraly district). Orazgul, nicknamed in the people of Ozhan (halyk Ozhang degen), a prominent historical figure, was a fair and generous man, had several wives and numerous sons, among whom Senkibay was the oldest. Besides Senkibay, among the descendants of Orazgul there are such outstanding personalities as Alimkhan Yermekov and Kasym Amanzholov. Senkibay, who started to participate in campaigns and battles from the age of 16-17, was still a teenager was marked by Kanzhygaly Bogenbay Batyr. According to folklore data, Bogenbay noticed him while visiting his father Orazgul on a zhailau in the valley of the river Zharly, in the territory of modern Karkaraly district. Elderly Kozhas, great-grandfather of Senkibay, as if personally introduced his great-grandson to the famous Batyr. Participating in numerous battles with dzungars, Senkibay in one battle on the river Nura in a fight defeated the brave Batyr Khoren. In old age, Senkibay became a wise bi, gifted with holiness. Bi-ata - that was his name among the people.
The grave of Senkibay Orazgululy has always enjoyed the sanctity of the people, it was visited by pilgrims in the Soviet era, when such actions were not approved by the official ideology. It was undercover by the oldest inhabitants of the region. Since the 1980s, the mausoleum has been renovated several times. The modern dome mausoleum has a rounded shape, built of factory bricks. Near it there are tombs of the XIX - early XX centuries. Nearby there is a house for pilgrims, where people can rest, spend the night. Many of today's tourists and pilgrims stay in the village of Taldy, not far from the monument. At 30 km from the mausoleum there is a highway of national and international importance Almaty - Astana - Yekaterinburg. Around the mausoleum, in the valley of the Taldynura River, there are numerous monuments from the Bronze Age, the early Iron Age and the Middle Ages. A large stone mausoleum of the Begazy-Dandybay culture was studied as part of the Karazhartas burial ground. Some of the barrows of the Saka time, up to 3-4 m high and 35-40 m in diameter, have the appearance of "royal" tombs. Nowadays, it is expedient to create a special historical and archeological park or wildlife preserve in this area.
