Description
Zholbarys Batyr (1671-1761) - Kazakh batyr, bi, participant of the Kazakh wars against the Dzungar invasion in the XVIII century. According to the legend, Zholbarys' mother, who was wearing him in the womb, had a dream, in which the grey old man urged her to call her son Zholbarys. After giving birth, she understood the meaning of this naming: her son had a large mole on his back, which was considered a "mark" of the Almighty. The people gave the boy the nickname Zholbarys - Shubar-ata.
