Description

It is located in Amangeldy village (Amangeldy district, Kostanay region).

Satybaldy Gabdollauly (nicknamed Kypchak Ishaan) was born in Torgay district of Kaidauyl parish in Shoman Karasu area. Satybaldy Ishaan (1826-1898) was one of the enlightened theologians of his time. He began to study religious science at a young age. Having received the blessing of his second father Shomak (the boy was left an orphan from childhood), Satybaldy went to Tashkent. After a long journey, having gone through many hardships and publicity, he entered the Tashkent madrassa and was then sent to Bukhara as a diligent disciple. He would devote 14 years to his studies, and then, having passed the examination before the members of the Central Asian Muslim Council, he was awarded the honorary title of Ishaan by a unanimous decision. Soon Satybaldy would make his first pilgrimage to a Muslim shrine, Mecca. By that time, he had already become a famous personality, and his fame reached the native lands of the Torgay steppes. The ruler of the Torgay district Suleimen sends an invitation to Satybaldy Ishaan through his messenger. He gladly accepted it. There are many stories in the people that testify to his supernatural abilities, but the greatness of this man was not only his divine gift. In his homeland, he taught his fellow countrymen not only Islam, but also many of the wisdom of life that he had learned during his long years of wandering and living in a foreign land. Gabdollauly Satybaldy called his fellow villagers to a settled way of life, began to grow gardens and bahchas in the area.

After Satybaldy's death, his eldest son Myrza Ishaan invited masters from Tashkent to erect a tombstone. Next to Satybaldy Ishaan, his son, kadi, akyn Faizollah Satybaldyuly and Omar Tepekuly were buried. Over time, this mausoleum was destroyed. The tombstone is made of beautiful brick. It is located in the southern half of the cemetery. People call it "the house of Satybaldy Ishaan" or "the mausoleum of Faizollah Ishaan". Pilgrims go to the tomb of the saint and ask for healing.

In 1992 in the village of Amangeldy the mosque of Satybaldy Ishaan was built. In the mosque children are taught Arabic script and literacy.

The mausoleum-mosque of Satybaldy Ishaan is one of the historical monuments and holy places of the region.
