Description
Kapash Mosque is an architectural monument. The customer of the construction of the mosque was a wealthy person named Kosbay, and the master who built mosque - his relative Kapash Kinakuly (1876-1938). There are several rooms in the mosque. During the construction of the mosque, the master used many models of buildings in the city of Astrakhan. The construction of the mosque, which began on the eve of the October Revolution, was not completed due to the policy of the Soviet government, and the roof was unfinished. In 1931, Kosbay went to Afghanistan, Kapash was arrested and shot.
