Description

In the Esensai rural district there is a burial place of Tailan, where Nausha Batyr Karzhauuly (Akzhaik district, West Kazakhstan region) is buried.

Nausha Batyr (1788-1869) was a representative of the Baibakty family. Remains of his son Shora Naushauly are also in the burial place of Tailan. Together with Nauryzali's younger brother, Nausha Batyr headed his clan. In the spring of 1827 Nausha took part in the riots in the Bokey Horde. According to the information of the local historian from Atyrau Mazhit Mukhtaruly, Nausha Karzhauuly grew up brave, proud, clever and agile. Later, for his bravery in the fight against the enemy he was called "skillfully owning the spear of Nausha". His name is known along with the names of Isatai and Makhambet, the sultan of Kaipkali, who took part in the national liberation movement against the seizure of land.

His father Karzhau is the son of Syrymbet, the grandson of Nazarymbet Bi. Karzhau Batyr is a native of the Baibakty family and was also an active participant in the social and political life of the Junior Zhuz. In the spring of 1797, after the assassination of the Kazakh khan Esim, Bokei Sultan and then Karatai Sultan claimed the throne. Karzhau Batyr was a faithful companion of Karatai Sultan. On August 13, 1797, with the support of 12 elders and bies of the Baibakty family, such as Zhylkaidaruly Abilbi, Tabyldy Uteliuly, Zhylkeldy Zharkynuly, Mukynuly Kaldybai bi, Daukarauly Eskara Batyr, he went to the Orenburg administration with a demand to approve the Junior Zhuz Karatai Khan. To date, the Orenburg Museum has preserved a letter with his personal seal "Syrymbetuly Karzhau Batyr". This confirms that Karzhau Batyr was a famous personality. In his time, Sh. Ualikhanov wrote: "Batyr is the most important person after the sultans, the leaders of the clans. He is the most influential person, whose opinion was considered in society. Karatai's outstanding abilities were passed on to his descendants. Paying tribute to his father's personal qualities, his merits, his activity for the benefit of the Kazakhs of the Junior Zhuz, Nausha was called a Batyr.
