Description
Information about his glorious life is depicted in Kazakh genealogy, unique materials of oral folklore. According to some reports, he lived in the VI-VII centuries, and according to other information - in a later time. Many famous scientists of the Middle Ages and modern times left their valuable researches about him (M.Kh. Dulati, N.A. Aristov, N.Ya. Bichurin, Sh.Sh. Ualikhanov, L.N. Gumilev and others). According to these and other data, Baidibek Karashuly is a distant ancestor of a number of Kazakh tribal groups, members of the association of ancient Uysuns - Alban, Suan, Dulat, Sary Uysin, Shapyrashty, Ysty and Oshakty. As is known, the latter played a huge role in the formation of the Kazakh ethnos. According to researchers of his life and creativity, the famous bi was born in the city of Tashkent.
Baidibek Baba is a famous historical personality who managed to unite his tribesmen in the time. He remained in the memory of the people as a fair bi, an experienced general, a recognized leader of the people and defender of the Fatherland. Thanks to his natural talent, he rose from the position of a simple cattleman to the great bi. Baidibek Baba was famous for his justice and wisdom. He was remembered as an educated man with deep knowledge of various sciences. He ruled numerous Kazakh clans in Zhetysu, Tashkent and the foothills of Karatau. His contemporaries also remembered him as a generous man. According to surviving legends, he became one of the major cattle breeders of his time, often helping his impoverished tribesmen by giving them a part of his numerous cattle. He remained in the memory of his numerous and grateful descendants. In 1996, the Algabas district of South Kazakhstan region was renamed after Baidibek ata. One of his famous descendants was the supreme bi of the country of the Great Steppe Tole - the ruler of Tashkent.
In 1996-1998, on the site of the mausoleums of five esteemed Kazakh mothers of the Elder Zhuz (Kasietti be-ana) - Marau (Sary Baibishe), Zerip, Zhupar, Karashash and Sylandy - a new architectural complex (author G.S. Sadyrbayev) was built in honor of Baidibek Baba. The best building materials available in Central Asia and South Kazakhstan were used in the construction of the mausoleum. Famous masters from Sairam, Shymkent, Samarkand and Tashkent took part in the construction of the mausoleum. As it is known, in the prayer room of the mausoleum on the initiative of the Head of State N.A. Nazarbayev a majestic tombstone made of beautiful white marble weighing six tons in the form of a cradle was installed.
Mausoleum of Baidibek ata is a unique sacral object of Kazakhstan. It is in the list of historical and cultural monuments of local importance. The object of pilgrimage and religious tourism.
