Description
The complex includes a house-museum with a suburban exposition and the mausoleum complex “Abay-Shakarim”, where Abay and his closest relatives are buried. The house-museum has preserved its original appearance, consisting of eight rooms. The materials donated by Abay's relatives and friends are presented in five rooms and three halls of the museum: books in Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Russian, photographic documents of those years, Abay's three-string dombra, household items. Ethnographic exhibits of the museum acquaint visitors with the work and era of Abay. It is part of the State Historical-Cultural and Literary-Memorial Museum-Reserve of Abay “Zhidebay-Borili”.
