Description

Located in the village of Kalbatau (Zharma district, East Kazakhstan region).

Er Zhanibek (1714-1792) - commander-in-chief of Abylai khan, the hero of the Kazakh-Dzungarian wars. Zhanibek's name became a battle cry of the Abak-Kerei tribe. Batyr Er Zhanibek played a great role in the history of Kazakhstan. He is also known as a skilful politician, who was at the right hand of Abylai khan when making decisions on important issues. He was one of the supporters of Abylai Khan. His faithful comrades-in-arms were large military leaders, legendary figures of the steppe: Kanzhygaly Bogenbay, KarakereyKabanbay, Shakshak Zhanibek and many others. According to legend, he died in 1792. His remains are buried at the foot of Mount Kalba.

The heroism of the Kazakh people, its Batyrs in the fateful battles with external enemies was praised by famous poets of our country, who specially came to the holiday on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the legendary Batyr. The opening ceremony of the mausoleum of the famous Kazakh commander of the XVIII century was attended by many guests who are members of the national elite of the society, such as Azilkhan Nurshaiykov, people's writer, Tursynbek Kakishev, academician, doctor of philology, professor, Turdykul Shanbay prominent scientist, philologist and others.

In the center of the complex there is a figure of a batyr with a spear in his hand, made of bronze (height 6 m). Next to each side there are sculptures of wolves, and behind it there is a stele 45 m high. Not far from the monument, 30 m away, is the mausoleum of Batyr Er Zhanibek.

The object is visited, it is a place of pilgrimage and tourism.
