Wooden vessels found in the Egistik mausoleum in the Babish Mola oasis

In 2020, archaeological excavations of the arable mausoleum in the Babish Mola Oasis were carried out. The mausoleum is located   23 km south of Babish Mola settlement, on the right bank of the Zhanadariya Canal. During the excavations, animal bones, ceramic dishes, jewelry, weapons and archaeological finds made of bones and various metals were found along with human remains. Three types of wooden dishes were identified: a bowl, a lid and astau. It was assumed that the wooden vessels found in the arable mausoleum were used for ritual purposes in everyday life and funeral rites, depending on the purpose of use.
