Manufacturing technology and functional purpose of clay products in metallurgy at Taldysay

In the settlements of Taldysay, not only copper-smelting, but also copper-casting production was carried out. Findings of finished copper products, stone, clay casting molds, ceramics crucibles, and ladles, bone and stone tools for finished the products after casting are evidence of metalworking. As a result of the excavations, collections of “technological” ceramics have been accumulated, including a significant part of smelting vessels of different preservation, and slagged fragments fragments from clay crucibles.
