Аrchaeological expedition to Semirechye

4 mounds of small size were excavated. The most significant was the expedition led by B. Nurmukhanbetov in 1969-70, when, as a result of security excavations, a "Golden Man" was found on the site of a carpool under construction. A detailed description and reconstruction was made by the archaeologist-scientist K.A. Akishev mentioned by us. In recent decades, archaeological research on the Issyk burial ground has practically not been carried out.
