Archaeological research at the Saraishyk site in 2019
In 2019, research was continued at Excavation II, which was started in 2017. In the field season of 2019, the preserved part of the base of the tower, the remains of the fortress walls running from the tower to the north and south, part of the moat and the remains of structures of the late XIV- XV centuries, located to the northwest of the moat, in the northern part of the excavation, were revealed. As a result of the excavations, the places of the gates and towers were discovered. Based on the materials obtained, it is concluded that the gate was built presumably in the XVI century. Stratigraphic data showed that the studied objects are artificially erected structures. The materials obtained indicate that this site existed in the second half of the XIV-XV centuries.
